SOME's Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger
Thomas M. Cooley Alumni & Friends
Join Team COOLEY for our 3rd year participating in SOME’s Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger on November 28th.
SOME's Trot for Hunger is a 5K run and family walk held on Thanksgiving Day to benefit the homeless and poor in Washington, DC. The Trot provides essential support for SOME's programs for the poor and homeless and helps ensure that hungry District residents have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day and every other day of the year.
You can help our team support people in need by 1) making a tax-deductible contribution in our team’s name- Thomas M. Cooley Alumni and Friends; or 2) by registering to participate in this year's Trot for Hunger. Your support makes a world of difference in the life of a child or adult in need.
SOME (So Others Might Eat) has been serving the homeless and poor in Washington, DC for more than 40 years. SOME began as a tiny soup kitchen and now provides more than 1,000 meals to hungry people each day. In addition, SOME provides clothing, medical care, job training, affordable housing, programs for the elderly and other services that empower individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
