I am participating in SOME's 20th Trot for Hunger 5k on Thanksgiving Day!
The Trot for Hunger raises essential funds and awareness to combat poverty in the Washington metropolitan area and provides a way for the community to help those experiencing homelessness on Thanksgiving morning. Proceeds from the 5K benefit thousands of homeless families and single adults, including the elderly and people suffering from mental illness, by providing much-needed food, clothing, access to healthcare, employment training, and long-term comprehensive addiction treatment programs. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the need for SOME’s vital services and support.
