I am participating in SOME’s 20th Annual Trot for Hunger 5K! As a member of the SOME family, I have seen firsthand how donations impact the lives of our neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty.
There are many individuals and families in our community who experience hunger and homelessness. Unemployment and a lack of affordable housing have made it more difficult to remain in the place many have called home for years.
Please make a donation or join our Hot Stuffin' team to participate in-person or virtually!
SOME (So Others Might Eat) has been serving the people experiencing homelessness and poverty in Washington, DC for 51 years. SOME began as a tiny soup kitchen and now provides more than 1,200 meals to people in need each day. In addition, SOME provides clean clothing, medical care, job training, affordable housing, programs for the elderly and other services that empower individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
