Welcome to Strutting-Our-Stuffing's Trot for Hunger 5K Fundraising Page
Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues:
We are participating in SOME’s 2019 Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger 5K on November 28th to raise awareness of hunger and homelessness in Washington, D.C. and to raise funds to support services benefiting thousands of families and individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty. The Trot provides essential support for SOME's programs and helps ensure that hungry residents have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day and every other day of the year.
SOME (So Others Might Eat) has been serving the homeless and poor in Washington, DC for 49 years. SOME began as a tiny soup kitchen and now provides more than 1,200 meals to hungry people each day. In addition, SOME provides clothing, medical care, job training, affordable housing, programs for the elderly and other services that empower individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty. The organization is dedicated to restoring hope and dignity one person at a time. Learn more at www.some.org.
Zeinah has been volunteering in SOME's dining room for more than three years, and we ask that you please consider supporting our fundraising efforts for this amazing organization with a tax-deductible gift donation. Just $25 provides 16 hot and nutritious meals for men, women, and children in SOME's dining rooms. Whatever you can give--it all adds up!--makes a world of difference in the lives of those in need. You can make your donation online by simply clicking on the "Make a Gift" button on our page. Thank you so much for your support, and Happy Thanksgiving!
