Back by popular demand, our friend group the Carrollsburg Fundracers are raising funds again through the Trot for Hunger which supports So Others Might Eat (SOME), a charity that's been close to our hearts for many years now.
SOME works to combat poverty in the Washington, D.C. area and provides a way for the community to help those experiencing homelessness. Proceeds from the 5K benefit thousands of homeless families and single adults, including the elderly and people suffering from mental illness, by providing much-needed food, clothing, access to healthcare, employment training, and long-term comprehensive addiction treatment programs. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the need for SOME’s vital services and support.
We hope you will consider getting involved in the Trot for Hunger:

SOME (So Others Might Eat) has been serving neighbors in Washington, DC for more than 50 years. SOME began as a tiny soup kitchen and now provides meals each day, provides clothing, medical care, job training, affordable housing, programs for the elderly and other services that empower individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
