For the 3rd straight year, the Brent Elementary Bears (Washington, DC) will participate in SOME's 15th Annual Thanksgiving Day Trot for Hunger. In 2014 our team was the 4th-largest fundraiser in the entire race! Please consider joining our team or donating.
SOME's Trot for Hunger is a 5K run and family walk held on Thanksgiving Day to benefit the homeless and poor in Washington, DC. The Trot provides essential support for SOME's programs for the poor and homeless and helps ensure that hungry District residents have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day and every other day of the year.
You can help our team support people in need by making a tax-deductible contribution in our team’s name or by registering to participate in this year's Trot for Hunger. Your support makes a world of difference in the life of a child or adult in need.
The event will occur on Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 24, 2016. The location is Freedom Plaza, the corner of 13th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.
The event schedule is below:
8:30am: Little Turkey Fun Run
