Although online donations are the preferred, fastest and easiest way to receive support, you might receive checks from your supporters.
What should I do if I receive a check donation?
To ensure that these donations are counted on your personal and/or team fundraising pages, please follow these instructions:
1) Make sure all checks are made payable to "Trot for Hunger" (please do not enclose cash donations).
2) Print your name on each check's memo line so that we can confirm it in our system.
3) Enter the donation in your Participant Center - instructions are below.

What should I do if I receive a cash donation?
We're sure you're happy to accept and receive donations in whatever form they come! But, for safekeeping, please do not mail the cash to us! We don't want it to get lost on route. Instead, write a check for the donation amount and mail it in with your name on the check's memo line. If you'd like, feel free to include a list of the names and dollar amounts of the people who donated the cash to you i.e. $5 Bill Jone, $30 Jane Smith. You can also make the donation online on their behalf using your own debit or credit card - just be sure to put the donor's information in the required fields.
Don't forget to update your Participant Center!
When you receive cash or checks, you can immediately update your fundraising total in your Participant Center. Log-in, click on the "Enter new gift" button, in the right column and follow the simple steps to enter each donation. Your fundraising thermometer will update instantly to show your progress. As checks are received at our office, we'll process and confirm your totals on your fundraising page. Please note that all donations by check will receive a mailed receipt.
