Friend, you were amazing in 2015! Here are some of the many ways that you and other caring SOME supporters improved the lives of homeless individuals and families.

Heaven and Maya

Heaven and Maya

For her first year of life, Heaven often coughed up blood and stopped breathing. This would have been difficult for any family, but it was especially hard because Heaven and her mother Maya were homeless.

Just over one year ago, they were one of 27 families, many from DC General Shelter, that moved into affordable apartments at SOME’s Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Building. With safe, supportive housing, Heaven is thriving in preschool and hasn't been back to the hospital in a year.
