1.  Freshmen Congressional Members Volunteer at SOME’s Dining Rooms on September 11

Congressional members join other SOME volunteers to serve breakfast on September 11.

Congressmen Joe Donnelly (D-IN), Paul Hodes (D-NH), Ron Klein (D-FL), Tim Walz (D-MN), and Congresswoman Mazie Hirono (D-HI) served breakfast to the homeless and poor in SOME’s Dining Room on September 11.  Congressman Klein mentioned, “On this day we commemorate those who lost their lives and their loved ones by providing service to those in need”. Thank you for helping SOME!

2.  SOME’s September Wish List

SOME's Clothing Room is in need of summertime clothing donations for men.  We are looking for all sizes and styles that can be worn in warmer weather.  We are also looking for deodorant, men’s and women’s razors and new packages of underwear and socks.  If you have these clothes or items please drop them off at 71 O Street NW, Monday through Friday between 8:00am - 3:30pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am - 2:00pm. Thank you.
